Glancey Privacy Policy

Glancey is a vocabulary learning app by Vailgrid. This policy describes the Google Play release that includes Supabase account sync, content reports, and optional Google Play purchases.

Information Glancey Collects

Glancey may collect or store the following information:

• Account information, including email address, Supabase user ID, optional display name, sign-in status, and account timestamps.
• Learning information, including selected study languages and levels, daily goal, streak and activity counters, mastered words, review-later words, review timing, dual-language settings, and local profile preferences.
• Content reports, including the reported vocabulary item or collection, report category, optional comment, timestamp, and account ID when signed in.
• Purchase information, including product ID, transaction or order ID, purchase source, subscription status, entitlement tier, current period end, and verification metadata needed to validate Google Play purchases.
• Technical information processed by service providers, such as request logs, device or network metadata, and authentication or session metadata needed to keep the service secure and available.

The app also stores some preferences locally on the device using platform storage, including theme, interface language, text-to-speech settings, daily goal, onboarding state, and recent learning progress.

How Glancey Uses Information

Glancey uses information to:

• provide vocabulary collections, flashcards, examples, and pronunciation tools;
• save and sync learning progress across signed-in devices;
• manage account access, password reset, and account deletion;
• receive and review content-quality reports;
• verify Google Play purchases and provide paid entitlements;
• prevent abuse, debug service issues, and keep the app reliable.

Sharing And Service Providers

Glancey does not sell personal data or share data for third-party advertising. Glancey uses service providers only to operate the app:

• Supabase for authentication, database, storage, Edge Functions, and sync;
• Google Play Billing and Android Publisher APIs for purchase processing and verification;
• device text-to-speech services for local pronunciation playback.

These providers process information according to their own service terms and privacy commitments.

Data Retention

Account, sync, report, and purchase records are retained while needed to provide the app, maintain purchase history, satisfy store or account requirements, and handle support or security issues. Local app data can be removed by uninstalling Glancey or clearing app storage.

Account Deletion

Signed-in users can request deletion in the app from Account controls by using the delete account action. Users can also request deletion atvailgrid.com/glancey/delete-account.

Account deletion removes the Supabase account and associated profile, learning sync data, user-owned learning records, and account-linked content reports where deletion is required. Purchase event records may be retained when necessary for fraud prevention, tax or accounting, store compliance, or dispute handling.

Children

Glancey is an education app for general teen and adult language learners. It is not positioned as a child-directed app, does not include social networking, and does not include user-generated public feeds.

Security

Glancey uses Supabase authentication, row-level security, HTTPS APIs, and server-side purchase verification. No system can guarantee perfect security, but Glancey is designed to limit data access to the signed-in user and authorized service operations.
